Album conceived shortly after the devastating 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami (estimated death toll 280,000, wikipedia.org).
The 13 track album was released by Doronko Records back in 2005, shortly before Faktor Bossar's Japan tour, and was only available as a CD-R.
Now for the first time on the internet.
No "Days of Wine and Roses" (Oscar winning title song by Henry Mancini (music) and Johnny Mercer (lyrics). for the 1962 drama film of the same name directed by Blake Edwards).

The Swiss Markus Breuss and the Japanese Tsukiko Amakawa compose Faktor Bossar, a duo whose music is original and full of suspense. Improvisation, electronic, free jazz, noise, funk from the 70s, mysticism, contemporary music of many kinds, a special sense of humor, electro-acoustic collage ... There are almost no limits for them, and not only in music, so that even the very origins of Markus and Tsukiko play a leading role in this sonic journey through different contemporary music poems.

El suizo Markus Breuss y la japonesa Tsukiko Amakawa componen Faktor Bossar, dúo cuya música transcurre absolutamente libre y llena de suspense a través de la improvisación, la electrónica, el free jazz, el noise, el funk de los 70, el misticismo, la música contemporánea, el sentido del humor, el collage electroacústico... No hay límites. Tampoco culturales, de modo que hasta los propios orígenes de Markus y Tsukiko juegan su papel protagonista en este viaje sónico y magnético a través de las diferentes poéticas musicales contemporáneas.

Post-industrial initiatory atmospheres with suggestive porno-erotic voices give way to a melancholic-solitary trumpet that reminds us of the distant Miles of "Kind of Blue", although the oriental rhythms bring us closer to Don Cherry's fabulous "Brown Rice".
The theme with trumpet and flute in unison is of an extreme delicacy, danceable and suggestive at the same time. The analog atmospheres do not let you wait and there is something like a radioactive rain, like in "Rain dance" of Herbie Hancock along with sentimental ballads, reminiscent of Miles "Tutu".
If there is a musician who keeps the traveling spirit in his music as did the great late Don Cherry (the true founder of Multi-Kulti),that is Markus Breuss and that is why he lives in front of the African coast, his compositions mix Europeanisms overseas music.
His traveling companion Tsukiko Amaka, also an adventurous spirit, contributes with that "eastern component of the north", classic and powerful at the same time as the No theater or the Zen gardens.
If I had to recommend to a friend a CD where in one way or another appear various colorful musical poetics, I would recommend "Days of Cries and Poses" by Faktor Bossard.

Atmósferas post-industriales iniciáticas con sugerentes voces porno-eróticas dan paso a una trompeta melancólico-solitaria que nos hace recordar al lejano Miles de "Kind of Blue", si bien los ritmos posteriores de reminiscencias orientales que aparecen nos acercan mas al Don Cherry de aquel fabuloso "Brown Rice".
El tema con trompeta y flauta dulce al unísono es de una delicadeza extrema, bailable y sugerente a la vez. Las atmósferas analógicas no se dejan esperar y hay algo como una lluvia radiactiva a lo "Rain dance" de Herbie Hancock junto con baladas sentimentales a lo Tutú.
Si hay un músico que conserva el espíritu viajero en su música como fué la de Don Cherry ( el verdadero fundador del Multi-Kulti) ese se llama Markus Breuss y por eso vive en enfrente de la costa africana, sus composiciones mezclan los europeismos con las músicas de ultramar.
Su compañera de viaje, también aventurera, aporta ese componente oriental del norte, clásico y poderoso a la vez como el teatro del No ó los jardines Zen.
Si tuviera que recomendar a un amigo un CD donde de una forma u otra aparecieran las variopintas poéticas musicales contemporáneas, recomendaría "Days of Cries and Poses" de Faktor Bossard.
